Anxiety

Online psychologist for anxiety

Online therapy for anxiety with Margarita Margenat, psychologist. One-hour video sessions from wherever you are, in English, Spanish or Catalan. We start with a free call.

If you’ve landed here, your head probably won’t leave you alone. You brace for everything that could go wrong. You struggle to sleep, or wake up already tired. Your body is tense all day and everything feels like too much.

What I see in my practice

Anxiety almost never comes alone. In the people I work with it usually goes hand in hand with self-demand: nothing is ever enough, you don’t allow yourself to fail, and you live attuned to what everyone else needs. Anxiety is the signal that you’ve been living like this for too long.

That’s why I don’t just work to bring the anxiety down. I work so that you understand what it’s telling you and change what keeps it going.

How we work

I’m a humanistic psychologist. I don’t come with a fixed protocol, and I don’t just listen. In session I help you understand and heal what lies beneath the anxiety. And you take tools home with you, to use day to day until what we work on becomes yours.

The aim is that you feel at peace inside and see real changes in your life, not just in the session.

What online therapy is like

Sessions are one-hour video calls, from wherever you are. Between sessions I’m still there on WhatsApp, at no extra cost. I work in English, Spanish and Catalan with people across Spain and abroad.

A one-hour session is €80. Packs of 4, 6 or 8 sessions come at a reduced price. Before anything else, we have a free 15-minute call to see whether I can help.

If your anxiety is so strong that you feel you can’t cope right now, reach out to your doctor or the emergency services. And when you’re feeling better, I’m here.

Frequently asked questions

Does online therapy work for anxiety?

Yes. Anxiety is worked through by talking, understanding and practising, and that works just as well over video. Many people prefer doing it from home, somewhere they feel at ease.

How long does it take?

It depends on the person. Most people notice changes in the first few weeks and work with me for a few months, weekly or fortnightly. We decide together as we go.

What happens on the first call?

It's 15 free minutes by phone or video. You tell me what brings you here, I explain how I work and we see whether we're a good fit. No obligation.
